Motivation

What do you do for motivation?

For me it is my family and the fact that I want certain lifestyle. There are many issues in life and when they come along then tend to knock things.

Before I was 30, well things were not ideal, however I was in a relationship, in my own home, one daughter, and a company director.

Looks good, but between then and now I have had a few ups and downs. Went very close to losing every thing, and had to live very cheep, and juggle to avoid bankruptcy.

Every thing then looked really good, business going forward, new relationship, then a few rocky times, and well I am where I am now.

All along the road I keep on getting up out of the pot holes that appear. WHY? even if now I am not even in the country I would like to live in I am now looking after my daughter again, and I am working to go forward. Every step I take forward is good. We need to forget about the snakes that take us back, just keep on and look out for the ladders that will leap forward.

After not seeing my daughters since June now my eldest daughter is living with me at present. Great for me, and she is enjoying it. Both her and her sister were with me over the weekend. There is No Failure

We only fail when we give up. When we are small we are unable to well do hardly a thing. We learn to move our limbs, then progress to walking, and running. it takes time and effort, and the we get there.

The rest of life is the same. We start off a new task unable to do it and then we learn. Most things we learn far faster than we learnt to walk. There will be some things that take longer, and the more we do things we should learn more every day.

The time we fail is when we give up. We say that we will not walk and sit down and sulk. the baby that refuses to walk for any thing and grows up unable to walk. I am not sure there is any young animal that will have the ability to walk that says it will not learn it is too hard.

The mental block comes latter when we get older. that is when there is a problem. We created the problem, and so we can fix the problem. We just need to believe in our selves and say we can do it and we will.

When The Plan Suddenly Changes

Ok so when the plan suddenly changes what do we do? Well every thing is an opportunity. So when something happens that throws your plans into dis array then it is just a new opportunity to look at things and set a new plan into place.

Yesterday I received a call and suddenly after not seeing my daughter for 6 months and getting no contact her mum says that she can not cope and that I have to have her. So this is really good, best news in ages for me, however work etc. Opps I now have to fit my work around my daughter and getting her to school, So her school at the moment is 20 miles away and does not fit in with my schedule.

So work will have to change, and life will be better and more interesting from now on.

Positive Steps

All ways take positive steps when faced with new issues and opportunity. Learning things is very good, as this helps us to grow. As we grow we should become better people, and the things that we face will be easier.

You Need To Take The Leap

When the horse and rider come to the jump they have faith in each other that they will clear the fence. If they did not have faith and trust each other then they would not attempt the fence. This is the same in our every day lives. We need faith that when we get up we will be better than if we stay in bed. When we start a business, that it will succeed. To get really good at show jumping, both the horse and the ride have to work hard. The rider may fall off several times, and the horse will shy from jumps, but they keep working at it, and then they get into the area and are able to compete.

Sometimes It Is Simply Hard To Get Up

There are those days that it is hard to get up out of bed. There can be lots of excuses made, but the fact that you are in bed and take a long time to get out is lack of motivation, and has a high inertia. I mean it is all nice and warm in bed, we feel safe and comfortable, it is a nice place to be.

If you can discover a way to over come this inertia, if you can find a way to overcome this inertia then you have found the way to a successful life.

Sounds simple, and it is. You just need to think positively and  get up and start your day. The same energy and though process that you used to get up and about now apply to your goals in life.

Inertia is the force that means it needs two or three people to push a car from stopped, but one can push it when it is moving quite easy. The same whit lots that we do, and as getting out of our safe bed and starting the day is one of the hardest things we do al day then achieving this should make starting new things, much easier.

If you can do the task today, then tomorrow we know about it and it is not as knew so should hold less fear, and therefore less inertia and be easier to do. This is true of most things, work, new and old habit breaking, relationships. The first steps need to be completed then the rest should follow on. look at it as a wonderful learning experience that it is best positive foot forward, smile and it will be much easier.

Use the positive outcome from the new experience to increase the positive feedback so that next time it is more looked forward to and has a lower inertia. the positive feedback cycle will really help.

Feed back from an action tells us how we did.

How we then deal with the feedback, well a well done normally means that we feel good about our action and are happy to do them same again. So success builds on success. This is positive feedback and is very good.

It is important to listen to feedback form people, every body when they try to tell us how they feel, or what they think of our actions. Then we should use that feed back to produce a positive result.

 

Negative Feedback

This is ok as long as we do not take it to heart and end up in a negative feedback loop. This is where we feel bad about a thing so do worse next time, and so on.

Much better to take a bad comment, or feeling and take the lesson from it to do better next time, and produce a positive result. This is the best way to learn and improve our selves.

The feedback we get will not always be wonderful, but all feedback can be used in a positive and constructive manor to produce a positive result.

So feedback is fantastic at teaching us to be better, as long as we learn and use positive action's.

Was Today A Success

Did you achieve the industrious things you wanted or needed to achieve today? We need to look at ourselves at the end of the day and decide if the day was good or not. Often there is a feeling and you already know how the day went before the end. it is a good practice to evaluate the day, and decide what went right and wrong so that tomorrow you can make the good things even better and try to get the not so good things to be better than they were.

Even if the day seamed really bad then look for the positives. You are still alive, still able to do things tomorrow and so forth.

Use the good things to become fantastic at them, the ok things to be better, and the not so good to learn from. Each day is full of learning and building on to more wonderful things. We just need to be open to learn the lessons that we are taught each and every time.

Dawn is a wonderful time of day

This morning it was clear, soft and there was a wonderful breeze just adding a slight chop to the sea. A great fresh start to the day, full of promise of  a brand new start.

Dawn is a great time of day, and I try to be up at dawn as a matter of good routine. A good early start is the best way to start the day. it gets you off to a nice start. this morning being on the beach and seeing such a wonderful sunrise just fills me with the energy and wonder, makes me feel so much younger again, like a young child.

We too can change our role, direction, job, every thing and it is never too late to do so. We just need to decide that is the rote we now whish to take, and do it.

We are only limited by our selves and our own imagination and drive.

Life in a rut, or you feel stuck,

It is not a problem, unexpected things happen all the time, and it is really easy to get bogged down, or stuck. lots of times it just feels like we are stuck, and it is just the slow plug of every day life ticking along.

Just do not stop trying, it may be that you need to change tack, if plan A is not working look for a plan B, but there is not often a need to give up your goals.

The only difference between success and not, is how we deal with things when they get tough, and we get to feel so much better when we have worked thru to the other side,

The light house stands proud, even thru it's paint is peeling, and at times the sea cuts off access, it is still there and when the time is right you can reach it.

 

Life and our targets are the same. Some as easy to reach, others take longer and a few more attempts, but it is very good to focus on your goals and try for them.

Good Feelings

I having just started the seasonal campaign for Christmas toys for the children's charity Barnardo's, and on my very first pickup 66% of orders contain a donation. That to me is a wonderful rate, and over the next two months should lead to a nice collection.

It is wonderful that people are so supportive any willing to help those less fortunate than them.
