Do you have children?

If so how does you job fit around them?

My children are very important to me. So it is important that I am able to spend time with them. A normal fixed hour job can make this very hard to do. When they need me I would be at work. This was the case in the past, where I worked long hours, every weekend, and work had to come first just to maintain my position in the company, not even gain the next step up. This was not good. I would have my children for the weekend and they would be in the office with me. Sure they were happy on the computers, and the computers were safe for them to use, but not the ideal setting for a good family time.

The opportunity I am promoting here is flexible. You need to have time off today, or an hour here and there, well this is ok as you are your own boss and you set your own goals, and there fore your own hours. You can work much faster some days to cut down the time spent just to allow time other days for your children. This is great. A normal job working faster can lead to more work.

Balance

Balance

Life is a balancing act. Freedom to do the things we would like to do, work, and family. Some times these are the same items, some time they are separate. It is so important to get the balance between the different demands on our time correct.

The demands on our time change thru life. So when we are young and have no commitments it is so much easier to build a career with ling hours, or take a lot of time for personal freedom to enjoy our hobbies.

Then as we have a family then the balance may well need to change. Family especially our children need our attention. Some jobs allow for this in them and our children can be with us while we work. However this is the exception more than the rule. So we need to be flexible and   adapt to the change that life brings.

This is very possible and brings with it fantastic benefits. Time spent with the family will increase our wellbeing and provide the optimism and drive to increase the productive side of us while at work.

Balance

How is your work life balance?

Motivation

Motivation

What do you do for motivation?

For me it is my family and the fact that I want certain lifestyle. There are many issues in life and when they come along then tend to knock things.

Before I was 30, well things were not ideal, however I was in a relationship, in my own home, one daughter, and a company director.

Looks good, but between then and now I have had a few ups and downs. Went very close to losing every thing, and had to live very cheep, and juggle to avoid bankruptcy.

Every thing then looked really good, business going forward, new relationship, then a few rocky times, and well I am where I am now.

All along the road I keep on getting up out of the pot holes that appear. WHY? even if now I am not even in the country I would like to live in I am now looking after my daughter again, and I am working to go forward. Every step I take forward is good. We need to forget about the snakes that take us back, just keep on and look out for the ladders that will leap forward.

Life is every so often not a kind to us as we would like. Along we trot and then BANG. Something changes and we need work to flex around us. Can your job do this?

 

 

After not seeing my daughters since June now my eldest daughter is living with me at present. Great for me, and she is enjoying it. Both her and her sister were with me over the weekend. A wonderful opportunity for me, but my plans had to change. The flexible nature of my work allowed me to suddenly spend 4 hours a day on the two school runs of 40 miles. To get to our aims, and goals we need to avoid distractions.

To be successful in obtaining our goals we need to think of the target and the route to it, and then follow that route. Side-tracks that do not serve to obtain the goal need to be avoided.

FEED BACK

FEED BACK

Feed back from an action tells us how we did.

How we then deal with the feedback, well a well done normally means that we feel good about our action and are happy to do them same again. So success builds on success. This is positive feedback and is very good.

It is important to listen to feedback form people, every body when they try to tell us how they feel, or what they think of our actions. Then we should use that feed back to produce a positive result.

 

Negative Feedback

This is ok as long as we do not take it to heart and end up in a negative feedback loop. This is where we feel bad about a thing so do worse next time, and so on.

Much better to take a bad comment, or feeling and take the lesson from it to do better next time, and produce a positive result. This is the best way to learn and improve our selves.

The feedback we get will not always be wonderful, but all feedback can be used in a positive and constructive manor to produce a positive result.

So feedback is fantastic at teaching us to be better, as long as we learn and use positive action's.

Was Today A Success

Was Today A Success

Did you achieve the industrious things you wanted or needed to achieve today? We need to look at ourselves at the end of the day and decide if the day was good or not. Often there is a feeling and you already know how the day went before the end. it is a good practice to evaluate the day, and decide what went right and wrong so that tomorrow you can make the good things even better and try to get the not so good things to be better than they were.

Even if the day seamed really bad then look for the positives. You are still alive, still able to do things tomorrow and so forth.

Use the good things to become fantastic at them, the ok things to be better, and the not so good to learn from. Each day is full of learning and building on to more wonderful things. We just need to be open to learn the lessons that we are taught each and every time.

Dawn is a wonderful time of day

This morning it was clear, soft and there was a wonderful breeze just adding a slight chop to the sea. A great fresh start to the day, full of promise of  a brand new start.

Dawn is a great time of day, and I try to be up at dawn as a matter of good routine. A good early start is the best way to start the day. it gets you off to a nice start. this morning being on the beach and seeing such a wonderful sunrise just fills me with the energy and wonder, makes me feel so much younger again, like a young child.

Time for your self, and time to have a proper breakfast ensure that your day gets off to the best possible start. Sets you up for a successful day,

how free are you to do what you like with your time? Or how free are you to work around the other things that you have to do?

The normal 9 to 5 job tie's you down to working those hours, and that is it. Some jobs can be more flexible, and then it is possible to do other important things around the work. Things like going to school sports days, doctor visits, charity work, fishing, you name it.

The work still has to be done, but the fantastic flexible approach really can really increase your standard of living to much better. Even the small things like being able to take your holiday at certain times of the year.
